Job Description:

The Financial Business Partner is responsible for financial reporting, P&L analysis, planning, and forecasting for an assigned Division. The Finance Partner will provide direction, training and counseling to division leaders on a wide variety of business/financial issues to ensure achievement of performance targets. The individual will be an integral member of a team responsible for budgeting, forecasting and managing the Divisions full P&L and serving as analytical and strategic business partner.

 

Responsibilities

Under direction of Corporate Finance, partners with Director, Division Ops to develop action plans for underperforming stores
Educates division operations team on financial planning & analysis processes and Division/Region/Market P&L; Prepare P&L variance analysis.
Manages Opex and Capex budgets for Division.
Monitor & problem solve issues with AR/AP including validation of business cases, savings

Forecasts & monthly variance analysis for key business initiatives
Maintains financial data accuracy and integrity by in-depth analysis of financial reports and underlying data.
Develops Key Performance Indicator (KPI) summary reporting and analysis.
Investigates financial system variances
Identifies low market average and low gross margin markets
Proactively works with the leadership team to improve actual financial results consistent with operating plan commitments and objectives.
Collaborates with the Division leadership to improve operational and financial performance.
Assists in the month-end close processes and financial reporting.
Prepares budget and forecasts partnering with the business and under the direction of management.
Prepares gross profit analysis
Prepares budget to actual comparisons analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance; MBA or related advance degree preferred.
10+ years’ experience in Finance or accounting; 3+ years’ experience with Financial Planning & Budgeting for multi-million dollar business groups.
Advanced Excel skills(e.g., Excel formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and PowerPoint,
Extensive Excel modeling experience required
Prior experience using CCC1 and Workday Finance a plus
Experience with sales and revenue forecasting required
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage projects and tasks
Solid critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with others.
