Job Description

This role aids the Information Services Managers, helps address issues, and escalates incidents to IT Manager or Senior members of the team and/or appropriate third-party vendors. Assists IT Manager in performing computer systems preventative maintenance. Provides technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location. May provide assistance concerning use of computer hardware and software, point of sale systems, credit card systems, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

Job Duties:

Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
Assists in overseeing the daily performance of computer systems.
Set-up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
Maintain record of daily data communications transactions, preventive maintenance, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
Confer with staff, users, and Computer Support Specialist to assist in the establishment of requirements for new systems or modifications.
Document in extensive detail networking, hardware, and user accounts specific to location.

Qualifications:

1-3 years in Information Technology Preferred
Certification in A+ provided by CompTIA Preferred
Strong Analytical skills with good verbal and written communication abilities.
Basic network troubleshooting experience, understanding of network operation.
