Software Engineer II

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software engineering principles and a proven track record in the design, development, and maintenance of business computer applications across multiple platforms and operating systems.

Duties:

The job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
Analyze user needs, develop software solutions, apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
Integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
Maintain databases within an application area.
Provide in-depth software technical support and troubleshooting.
Must hold DoD Secret Clearance.

Minimum Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Science (BS) or Arts (BA) in computer information systems, business information systems, or equivalent.
Agile Developer or Certified Scrum Developer certification required.
3 years of professional experience in software engineering.
3 years of experience in the design, development, and maintenance of business computer applications across multiple user platforms and operating systems.
3 years of specialized experience in the design, development, and maintenance of business applications using UNIX and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Proficiency in SQL, specifically for Ingres or Oracle databases.
Experience in administering, troubleshooting, testing, and training on the MARCOM IVCS system.
Familiarity with Avaya systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
