Job Description

The Raleigh House is a nationally recognized substance abuse treatment provider. Integrating traditional, holistic, and experiential therapies, we support clients to actively participate in their recovery. The Raleigh House provides comprehensive services including medically supported detox, intensive residential treatment, PHP, and partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming.

Join us at our Residential Ranch in Watkins, CO for a day shift FT position on our day shift!! Our Ranch location offers a variety of therapies, including equine, at our beautiful location in Watkins, CO. The RN will care for newly admitted clients assessing needs along with you medical staff.

Reports to: Director of Nursing

Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Nursing care including med surg and behavioral health

Schedule: 7a-7p

Essential Functions:

Provide structure and oversight to the detox unit during shift.
Assist to complete nursing assessments, including vitals, COWS/CIWAs, and history and physicals.
Set up follow-up nursing appointments for emergent issues.
Implement standing orders/approval from MD.
Assist with routine urine tests and breathalyzer testing, chain of custody, and documentation.
Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine diagnostic checks (monitor pulse, blood pressure and temperature, provide drugs and injections etc)
Interface and consult with other departments and contracted physicians.
Provide consultation to clinical and floor staff.
Provide first aid and health assessment for emergent conditions experienced by clients.
Assist to organize and maintain inventory of first aid, medication, and medical supplies.

Required Qualifications:

1 year of experience working in an acute care environment for high acuity unit
Valid Colorado RN license
Current BLS from AHA source with an in person skills check-off
Problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
Excellent technological skills including work in an EMR
Compassionate with good communication skills
Excellent teamwork skills
Minimum ADN
Ability to lead and work independently
Ability to work at either Raleigh House location (DTC/Watkins, CO)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with addictions treatment/detox in a residential setting, highly preferred
Psych experience is highly preferred.
Google Docs experience is helpful
