Job Description

Education:

A Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.

Licensure in Maryland is mandatory (e.g., Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical

Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor).

Certification or specialized training in behavior analysis or applied behavior analysis (ABA) is preferred.

Additional qualifications or experience related to autism spectrum disorders and positive behavioral support will be considered a plus.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with individuals on the autism spectrum.

Proven experience in developing and implementing Positive Behavioral Support/treatment Plans.

Demonstrated background in child and family counseling and conducting thorough patient assessments.

Experience in working with children and adolescents, as well as familiarity with special education practices.

Position Overview:

We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team in facilitating the Autism Waiver Program in Maryland. This role offers flexibility with options for part-time, full-time, or consulting positions. You will have the opportunity to provide evaluations, supervision, or a combination of both, with remote work available.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and revise annual Positive Behavioral Support Plans to address maladaptive or undesired behaviors for assigned members.

Ability to create and implement comprehensive treatment plans for a range of programs, including Adult Life Planning, Family Consultation, Therapeutic

Integration, Intensive Therapeutic Integration, Intensive Individual Support Services, and Respite Care.

Implement strategies and interventions that promote independence, utilizing deescalation techniques as necessary.
Complete psychological assessments as required (a schedule will be provided during onboarding to identify available dates and times for assessments).

Clearly delineate interventions, activities, and expected outcomes within behavioral plans, while observing, recording data, and monitoring the

implementation of therapeutic interventions and support strategies.

Review documentation and revise plans as needed to ensure progress toward achieving outcomes.

Train families, support members, and natural supports on established behavior plans.

Conduct clinical sessions monthly or as needed, collect and analyze behavior logs, and assess member progress.

Provide in-person support depending on the location of the assigned member, and/or tele-consultation through real-time interactive audio and video when necessary.

Independently manage caseload and provide required documentation to care managers to maintain member services within the annual budget.

Participate in annual plan meetings to provide clinical support, determine needs, and assess current behaviors of assigned members.

Skills:

Extensive experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, with a deep understanding of their unique needs and behaviors.

Proficient in medical and psychological terminology, especially as it pertains to mental health.

Strong foundation in child and family counseling, with the ability to foster supportive and effective therapeutic relationships.

Skilled in conducting comprehensive patient assessments, ensuring accurate diagnoses and tailored treatment plans.

Specialization in chronic pain counseling, integrating multidisciplinary approaches to manage and alleviate pain.

In-depth knowledge of special education practices, enabling effective collaboration with educators and caregivers.

Proficient in medical documentation standards, ensuring thorough and compliant records.

Expertise in addiction counseling techniques, offering targeted interventions to support recovery and resilience.

Familiarity with grief counseling strategies, providing compassionate support to individuals navigating loss and bereavement.

Experienced in working with children and adolescents, with a focus on fostering emotional and behavioral growth.

Working Conditions:

Normal office working conditions
