This position is for a Rural Hospital located in Mississippi. Our goal is to provide high quality healthcare and patient safety.
The Vice President of Strategic Operations position is responsible for leading the overall strategic plan for the Hospital, developing and implementing strategies to appropriately position the hospital to achieve Boa Vida’s goals and market the services of the facility. We are seeking a dynamic, transformational executive who has a successful record of leadership, including strategic annual plans, budgets and operations supporting the goal of providing excellent, high quality patient care. The candidate will have experience in running effective, efficient quality, acute care operations with a strong commitment to the community, patients, employees, providers and volunteers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Leads development team and participates in medical staff and governance strategic planning sessions for assigned hospitals.
· Meets regularly with assigned hospital leadership to examine current financial performance, evaluates forecasts and ensures appropriate, timely interventions.
· There should be a working knowledge regarding medical clinics – both rural and more urban, as designated.
· Assures consistent compliance, quality, risk, financial, human resources and other expectations that are in accordance with expectations and directives.
· Identifies opportunities to improve overall patient satisfaction and is committed to superior service excellence.
· Internal and external presentations and training.
· There should be a willingness to travel within the local Mississippi counties.
· Should possess extensive knowledge of medical regionals in Mississippi.
· Will need to consistently communicate with other hospital administrators, as well as providers, and medical professionals.
· Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:
· Comprehensive working knowledge of acute care hospital and healthcare management methods.
· Working knowledge of all relevant regulatory agency compliance and certification standards including CMS, etc.
· Demonstrated leadership, communication and executive management skills.
· Ability to manage diverse relationships between board members, physicians, management, employee groups, volunteers and the community is required.
· In depth understanding of financial management, operations, strategic needs and interventions at the facility level is required.
· Must be able to lead, inspire and communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and groups.
· MBA, MHA, or related Degree from an accredited college/university program preferred.
· At least five (5) years of related healthcare or hospital leadership experience required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· There will be some travel involving travel between sites.
