Job Description

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) provides executive leadership for CDCN’s information technology capabilities and the delivery of digital services across the enterprise. The CIO’s responsibilities include the design, development and operation of information technology platforms, information security, custom software development, network engineering, data management, application lifecycle management, user support, and information technology governance. The CIO is responsible for establishing the information technology strategy for the enterprise and aligning information technology capabilities to business goals, objectives, and resources.

JOB DUTIES

Collaborate with CDCN Executive Team to define and deliver effective, innovative information technology solutions.
Executive advocate and champion for CDCN information technology solutions to external interests and to internal users.
Define the enterprise information technology strategy for short-term and long-term horizons to support corporate goals and objectives. Envision information technology solutions and approaches to support corporate priorities.
Provide executive leadership of application development capability, strategic direction for software development workloads, resource strategies, and initiative prioritization.
Provide executive leadership for information technology infrastructure and operations workloads, data management workloads, and support operations. Oversee the management and optimization of IT infrastructure, ensuring elevated levels of performance, security, and reliability. Ensure the effective management of data centers, network infrastructure, and enterprise applications.
Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with accounting industry standards and regulations.
Leads relationship development and management of outsourced information technology partner engagement for critical initiatives.
Leads relationship development and management for Tier-1 information technology vendors and suppliers.
Manages software engineering, network engineering, data management, customer support, and IT operations departments.
Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring prudent financial management and cost control.
Identify and pursue opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies through technology.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of IT staff to build a high-performing team both in the US and offshore.
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to manage risk and ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Monitors changes and advancements in technology to stay current and look for competitive advantage in business operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field, Master’s degree preferred
10 years of experience in a similar role leading the IT function at a medium-sized organization
Previous network, server, systems analysis, design, software development, and implementation experience
Solid understanding of data analysis, business operations, capital expenditures, and budget oversight ($20M+)
Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours, if needed, to meet the job requirements.
The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
