Job Description

Nashville’s premiere luxury hotel is seeking Reservations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing room reservations for the hotel. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the success of this luxury property.

Key Responsibilities:

· Work proactively to ensure the reservation process is seamless for both the guest and within the hotel.

· Promote team spirit and encourage excellence in telephone sales and service performance among all reservations staff.

· Ensure the maintenance of accurate reservations records, completion of all duties and established hotel/department policies.

· Work one-on-one with reservations agents to improve sales techniques as well as ensure ongoing coaching, training, and development of staff.

· Monitor daily pickup and ensure reservations are flagged appropriately and accurate.

· Attendance, presentation and participation in key revenue-focused meetings.

· Manage group rooming lists and cutoff dates. Track inventory changes and pickup for group blocks. Ensure blocks are properly routed and billed.

· Manage quality via guest scores to ensure we are providing best in class service to our guest.

· Practice good communication skills, demonstrating the ability to interact with customers, employees, and third parties that reflect highly on the hotel.

Requirements:

· Minimum 2 years reservations supervisory experience or minimum 2 years hotel sales experience

· Knowledge of AAA and Forbes reservations standards desired.

· Excellent service skills including etiquette and ability to work with the public including diverse clientele.

· Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.

· College degree preferred.

Physical Demands:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to spend 50% of working day sitting and other 50% standing or walking. Must be able to navigate entire property for site inspections.
